SAN DIEGO (AP) -- Lorrenzo Wade had 20 points and 10 rebounds as San Diego State beat Weber State 65-49 in the first round of the NIT on Tuesday. San Diego State (24-9) coasted to the win after a 22-4 run in the first half helped the Aztecs take a 39-17 halftime lead. The Aztecs (24-9) will play the winner of Wednesday's Kansas State-Illinois State game Friday night. San Diego State, which finished second in the Mountain West Conference, matched the school record for most wins in a season. Kellen McCoy led Weber State (21-10) with 14 points. The Wildcats were the Big Sky Conference regular season champions.
