BOSTON (AP) -Ryan Wittman scored 24 points and Jeff Foote 19 to lead Cornell to an 82-72 win over Loyola of Maryland in the NIT Season Tip-off tournament Tuesday. Geoff Reeves added 12 points and Alex Tyler 11 for the Big Red (2-1), who lost to St. John's in Monday's opening round. Tony Lewis led the Greyhounds (1-3) with 23 points, Brett Harvey had 18 and Isaac Reid and 13. The Big Red, who led 36-25 at halftime, opened their lead to 52-37 on Tyler's free throw 9:10 into the second half and were never threatened. Loyola coach Jimmy Patsos sat at the end of the bench after getting a technical midway into the first half, letting his assistants run the team and rarely joining huddles. At one point in the second half, he sat in the stands for about a minute of play. The Greyhounds lost to host Boston College on Monday.
