St. John's Shuts-Down Eastern Michigan, 73-61

NEW YORK (AP) - D.J. Kennedy scored 16 points to lead St. John's to a 73-61 win over Eastern Michigan on Monday night in the NIT Season Tip-Off.

Justin Burrell had 14 points, Malik Booth had 11 and Paris Horne 10 for the Red Storm.

Justin Dobbins and Brandon Bowdry each had 13 points for the Eagles (1-4), who have lost four in a row.

St. John's (4-1) went on an 18-4 run after Dobbins' jumper opened the scoring.
